CAROL DANKE

Carol A. Danke, age 83, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  She was born January 12, 1935 in Neenah, daughter of the late Edward and Laura (Larsen) Hansen.

Carol graduated from Menasha High School in 1953.  She was employed with Neenah Paper Company for several years.  Carol then went to get her Nursing Certificate from The Cradle, an orphanage in Evanston, IL. 

Carol married Donald Danke on September 2, 1961.  He preceded her in death on August 17, 2006.

She enjoyed travelling on bus trips, gardening, baking and polka music.  But most of all Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a life member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Neenah.

Survivors include her three children: Bryan (Ann) Danke, David (Jill) Danke, Linda (Mark) Wickesberg; four grandchildren:  Rebecca Danke, Tim (Nora) Scott, Amanda Danke, Ashton Wickesberg; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Allen (Stephanie) Hansen.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, with Rev. Dennis Ellisen officiating.  The visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
