GREGG BECK

August 05, 1976 - October 12, 2024

Obituary

Gregg W. Beck, age 48, of Neenah, departed to join Jesus in Heaven on Saturday, October 12, 2024, after a bout with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. He was born on August 5, 1976, in Neenah, the son of Jay Beck and Karen Beck.

Gregg was diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome at the age of 3. However, that did not stop him. He attended special education classes while growing up and graduated from Neenah High School in 1997. After graduation, Gregg worked at Lakeside Packaging in Neenah and eventually moved to Clarity Care House on Congress Ave. in Oshkosh, WI, where he enjoyed being with his housemates. Gregg loved going to day services, attending field trips, and making crafts, but his favorite activity was bowling. He was also a dedicated fan of the Game Show Network, enjoying shows like The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. He loved Sesame Street, with Elmo being his favorite puppet.

Gregg always had much enthusiasm and was always happy to greet anyone and everyone with a “Well, hi there, how are you?” He was a happy-go-lucky man with many friends, family, and caregivers who loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Beck; brother, Tod Beck; sister-in-law, Nicole Beck; nieces, Taylor Beck, and Claire Beck; nephews, Parker and Noah Beck; stepmother, Julie Beck; and special family friend, Hope.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay B. Beck.

Thank you to all who cared for Gregg throughout his life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Christ the Rock Community Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation https://www.epilepsy.com/give or American Cancer Society www.donate.cancer.org.
