JAMES ZIELINSKI

Dear Jan & Jimmy’s entire family: Sometimes, there are no words to articulate how spectacular and special someone was and thus is one of those times.  Jimmy taught me many things, reminded me to enjoy life, stress less and always have fun!  His smile lit up a room and his conversations were always enjoyable.  He is a significant part of our Rotary Club of Neenah family; Jan, you will always be a part of our Rotary family!  I hope the grandchildren know how much they lit up his world!  We had great conversations about visits with them; his eyes lit up each and every time. I am truly grateful to have known such a warm, caring, fun and incredibly lovely man named Jimmy Z.  He was definitely someone to be admired.   May Jan’s and the family’s sweet memories outweigh the tears.  My deepest sympathy, Sara Westgor

During the summer of 1968, I saw Jim perform with Zone at an afternoon concert at Burt's Drive-in on Main Street in Neenah. The highlight of the performance was Zone's rousing rendition of "Devil with a Blue Dress On / Good Golly Miss Molly." As I write this, I can feel the song's driving beat, hear Jim's vocals and guitar leads, and see Jim, guitar-pick in hand, stabbing at the air, whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels had nothing on Zone during that performance. From that day forward, I understood that Rock 'n' Roll is a live phenomenon. You made a lot of people happy, Jim. I moved from Boston to Connecticut and Jim was one of the first new friend I met because he lived next door to my son……..he was always so friendly and kind and invited me to many advents throughout the years. He will be missed……. Marlory c

Jim was my brother-in-law and friend for 23 years.  My prayers go out to the entire family, especially to Ben, Tom, Patty, and Zach Zielinski, as they mourn his loss.  He will be missed by many.
