Obituary
Michael S. Paynter, age 60, formerly of Menasha, passed away peacefully at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac, where he has been a resident for the past 18 years.
Michael was born to David and Carol Carew, August 4, 1958 in Neenah. David died in an accident just months later. Carol remarried and her husband, Robert, adopted Mike and his older brothers.
Mike loved the outdoors, music and art. He enjoyed playing his harmonica, drawing and painting. He will be missed for his gentle and protective spirit.
Survivors include his father, Robert Paynter; four brothers: Dan, Menasha, Jamie (Annae), Seattle, Jeffrey (Sarah), Momence, IL, and Christopher (Ann), Lake Zurich, IL; 14 nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his biological father, David, and his mother, Carol.
The Memorial Service for Mike will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at St. Thomas Church, 226 Washington St., Menasha, with Fr. Ralph Osborne officiating. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church or Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac, in gratitude for the years of care and comfort.
