JUNE PEARSON

June Elaine Pearson, age 94, passed away at Lakeshore Manor, Oshkosh on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was born on June 11, 1920, daughter of the late Frank and Leona (Meyer) Klabunde in Oshkosh. She married Ross Pearson on August 21, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2001. June graduated from Oshkosh State Teacher's College (now UW-Oshkosh) and continued her education at UW-Madison. She taught Sunday school at Christ Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, and for nine years, she taught at Lincoln School, Neenah. Survivors include: one niece, Suzanne (Merlin) Lannbrecht, Oshkosh; a nephew, Laurence (Melinda) Luedtke, Amelia Island, Florida; two special cousins: Joyce Lloyd and Dorothy Voss; special friends, Phil and Mae Blanchfield; and family friend, Jay Menzel. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Luedtke on October 19, 1992. June was a member and secretary of the Fox Valley Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. She enjoyed reading books on History and Archeology. She was found of her pet dogs and cats, and all of God's creatures. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Cornelius officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Oshkosh Humane Society.
