BERNADINE MADSEN

Bernadine Agnes Madsen “Berny”, 82, was called to the Lord on July 28, 2021, after battling Alzheimer's. She was born December 16, 1938, in Chicago IL; daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Moskal) Kubiak. Berny moved to Marinette in 1950 when her parents bought Isle View Resort on the Peshtigo River commonly referred to as “Ma's Place.” Berny graduated from Marinette Catholic Central in 1957.

Berny worked as a teacher's aide at Menekaunee Elementary school for eight years and then moved to the Fox Valley in 1978. She was a hostess and bartender at Breezewood Family Restaurant in Neenah and Adam's Rib in Green Lake until she retired to her home in Ripon. Berny loved to travel and has been to all 50 states. She enjoyed driving across the country with family, friends and even on her own. Berny was extremely independent and helped others any time she could. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, and socializing.

Berny is survived by her three children: Mary (Mark) Krapf, Denver CO, Dan (Rhonda) Madsen, Marinette WI; and Janice (Jeff) Miller Neenah WI; and six grandchildren: Jordan (Annmarie) Miller, Joshua Miller, Anna Madsen, Elizabeth Madsen, Nicole Krapf, and Jared Madsen. Berny was further preceded in death by Thor Madsen: her daughter, Jean Ann Madsen; and two sisters: Jeanine Otto and Karen Schomaker.

A private family service for Berny will be held.
