RUTH BUSS

Ruth I. Buss, age 95, had God open the gates and call her home on Friday, October 13, 2023. She was born on January 2, 1928 to the late Albert and Emma Cumings. She married Arnold Buss Jr. on September 2, 1950, and they were blessed with six children. Ruth loved playing bingo and going on outings with the Appleton Retirement Community. She treasured her summers at Evergreen Campground, feeding her deer and spending winters in Florida. Ruth was an avid Brewers, Bucks, Packers and Menasha Blue Jay fan. She took great pride in raising her six children, and loved spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her children Nancy Tynan, Karen (Daniel) Kieper, Gary (Margaret) Buss, Kevin Buss, Charles (Linda) Buss, and Troy (Teresa) Buss; grandchildren Melissa (Michael) Knutson, Jari (Scott Gossens) Hall, Robert (Shantel) Tynan, Shannon Tynan, Joseph (Kailey Novak) Tynan, Amy (Anthony) Johnson, Mandy (Mathew) Peperkorn, Mitchel (Kalee) Buss, Robert Buss, Danielle (Aaron) Oleson, Bryce Buss, and John (Mary) Tynan; great-grandchildren Samantha (Joseph) Pfeilstifter, Timothy Hall, Jaymond (Heather Akstulewicz) Tynan, Ryan Tynan; Taylor, Kendall, and Ashlin Tynan; Josen and Ashton Flenz; Allyssa and Harper Johnson; Hudson and Mila Buss, Colton Oleson, Sylas and Jacksyn Tynan, Gabrielle (Joseph Robbins) Tynan, Emma and Sean Tynan, and Alexandria (Chris) Kloehn; great-great-grandchildren Lincoln Pfeilstifter and soon to be born Wesley Kloehn; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Buss Jr., parents Albert and Emma Cumings, son-in-law Patrick Tynan, sister Helen (John) Pingel, brother Sgt. Charles Pingel, in-laws Arnold Sr. and Emma Buss, Emmett (Kathryn) Kiesner, Loretta (Eugene) Keberlein, Lorraine Buss, Betty (Raymond) Kline, LaVerne Brandt, Delores (Lloyd) Barker, and Arnold's twin sister Arlene (Thomas) Sheehy.

The funeral service for Ruth will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 473 7th Street, Menasha. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.

Ruth's family would like to give a warm thank you to the staffs at Appleton Retirement Community, Moments Hospice, and Community Care for all of their kind and wonderful treatment of their mother.
