Obituary
Glen L. Westphal, age 75, was born to eternal life on Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born on October 21, 1943 to the late Walter and Marie Westphal in New London. Glen grew up on the family farm in Readfield and joined the U.S. Army out of high school. During his time in the service, he was stationed in Paris and met his future wife, Nicole Coulliotte. They were married in Ardon, France on April 10, 1965 and were blessed with 30 years of marriage before she passed in 1995. Glen went onto serve in Vietnam from '66 to '67. He was very proud to be a veteran and belonged to the Fremont and Neenah/Menasha VFW Posts.
Upon leaving the service, he worked for Sonoco for over 42 years. Glen enjoyed fishing, sturgeon spearing, playing sheepshead, watching Packer games, listening to polka music, and attending Bible classes. Glen particularly enjoyed his latest polka trip to Seven Springs, Pennsylvania over the 4th of July week, to which he as went to almost every year for the past 45 years. He also enjoyed one day at Pulaski Polka Days. Glen was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed.
Glen is survived by his children, Francine (Tim) Harris and Christophe (special friend Kim) Westphal; step-son, Francis Coulliotte; grandchildren: Nick Canan, Michael Canan, Mason Ruelle-Westphal; and Thierry, Sebastien, Helene, Manon, Mathilde Coulliotte in France. He's further survived by his siblings: Susan Haese, Beverley Winkler, Stephen (Linda) Westphal, Stanley (Gretchen) Westphal, Lynn Westphal, Cindy (Tom) Gorges, Roland Westphal, Tim (Sue) Westphal, Carol Colden; former spouse, Shirley “Jeannie” Westphal and her extended family; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Bendixen.

The visitation for Glen will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road, Menasha from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 436 S. Lake Street, Neenah. An additional time of visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of the service. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
