Obituary
Lorraine Helen Konitzer, 88, died Monday May 3, 2021 at Valley VNA, Neenah. She was born in Milwaukee on December 16, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Strange) Radlinger. Lorraine married Leorman Konitzer on June 15, 1957. Lee preceded Lorraine in death in August of 2001. She was also preceded in death by her son Scott in May of 2010.
Lorraine was raised in Manitowoc, where she attended Sacred Heart elementary school. She attended two years at Holy Family Convent and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951. Lorraine attended St. Mary's School of Nursing, Wausau, where she graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor's degree in nursing. As an RN, Lorraine worked at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah for 11 years, Neenah-Menasha VNA for 18 years, and for the State of Wisconsin at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute for seven years. Lorraine was a very active member at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah for over 50 years. Being a member of the choir was very special to Lorraine.
Lorraine is survived by her two children; son, Leorman Jr. (Deborah); and daughter, Sharon (Tom Formella) Konitzer; Capper Ziske; seven grandchildren: Kaylee (Matthew) Kese, Kassie Konitzer, Kollin Konitzer, Lee Formella, Erin (Andy) Cramer, Amy Formella, and Jacob Formella; two great grandchildren: Axel and Barrette Cramer; sister, Kathleen (Fritz) Seidl; her special niece and God daughter, Kim Dahl; and all her very special nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Mass of Christian burial for Lorraine will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at ST. MARGARET MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4399 Washington Ave, Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park following Mass.
