RUTH PETERSON

Ruth Peterson, age 95.

The Lord took my hand and brought me home on February 2, 2021.

I was born the daughter of the late Swan and Signa Nygren on April 15, 1925 in Neenah. I was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Paul Lutheran Church. I went to Neenah High School where I met the love of my life, Orville Peterson. We were married January 23, 1943 and raised two daughters.

I loved having friends over and hosting parties, and kept busy cooking, sewing, quilting, knitting, and going to ceramics class. I was also a charter member of the Y-Nots.

I am survived by my two daughters: Gail Goetz and Jan Herman; my sister-in-law, Mavis Charron; a nephew, Mike (Paula) Charron; my grandchildren: Stephen (Samantha) Goetz; Jennifer (David) Boltz; Kimberly Herman; Christopher Herman; my great-grandchildren: Taryn, Peyton, Hannah, Heather, Tyler, and Kirstyn; and my great-great-grandchildren: Everleigh and Ezra.

I was preceded in death by my husband, Orville; my parents; and my brother, Elof.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
