LEE NEERHOF

Lee Richard Neerhof, 74, died Wednesday February 21, 2024, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center, Menasha. He was born April 11, 1949, in Sheboygan, son of the late Jerome and Edith (Arthur) Neerhof. Lee met his wife Lorna Den Hartog, on a church mission trip in 1965, and they were married in Sheldon, Iowa at Bethel Reformed Church on July 5, 1969. Lorna preceded Lee in death on June 10, 2016.

Lee served his country in the U.S. Army and graduated from Lakeshore Technical School with an associate degree in marketing. Lee was a devoted member of Apple Valley Church where he proudly served as a deacon for many years. He was particularly supportive of children and youth ministries as well as Gideons International.

Lee is survived by three children, two daughters: Lenore Neerhof and Lisa (B.J.) Kunza; and a son, Lyle (Stephanie Brannon) Neerhof; grandchildren:  Elijah and William Kunza, Nevaeh Neerhof, Destiny and Anna Brannon, Tevin Thurmond; great-grandchild: Mason Thurmond; brother: Fred (Leann) Neerhof. Lee was further preceded in death by his daughter, Lorinda Neerhof; and brother, George Neerhof.

A visitation for Lee will be held Monday evening, February 26, 2024, at APPLE VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 1750 Olde Buggy Dr, Neenah, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a hymn sing following until 8:00PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning February 27, at the church at 9:00 AM with funeral service to begin at 10:00 AM, with Rev. John Hartley officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Resthaven Cemetery with full military honors.
