SANDRA GRANT

Sandra “Sandy” Ellen Olsen Halle Grant went home to God on February 9, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born to the late Mildred and Weston Olsen on January 26, 1942 in Green Bay, WI.

Sandy, as a single mom, worked as an executive secretary at the Bergstrom Hotels, Pioneer Inn, and Paper Valley to provide for her family.

She had an incredible work ethic, taking on extra evening hours at Kohl's during the holiday seasons and summers working at EAA air shows in Oshkosh.

Her final career days were spent at Graphic Packaging, retiring at 72 years old. After retirement, Sandy enjoyed volunteering at Ruth's Pantry in Winchester, where she met some very dear friends.

Her personal mantra was “you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”

In her leisure time, she loved to knit and read books. She blessed her family members with afghans, washcloths, and made a special baby bunting when she had her first grandchild.

In the later years, family, flowers, football and food were her joy. She loved being surrounded by fresh flowers, having family together watching football, and sharing recipes for her family to cook. She also loved Chinese food and going out for lunch with friends.

Sandy will always be remembered as a classy lady with beautiful, natural nails (Thank you Warren from Nail Salon in Neenah for 30 years of loving service).

Visit mom on the weekends and you would find her in Badger red on Saturdays, or Packer attire on Sundays.

Her courage and perseverance to live through adversity will live on in her family.

Jennifer Kron, Andrea (Larry) Pelot; Darien Halle; and Lisa Halle-Fritsch;

Grandchildren:

Joseph Kron; Jessica Kron (Bryan Weinstein); Jacob Kron; Lauren Pelot (fiancé Jarrod Black); John Pelot; Samuel Pelot (Ken Swan); Finn Halle; Ava Baumgarten and her dad, Brian; and Alex Fritch;

Great-grandson Ashton Fischer and his dad, Thor.

She is further survived by her siblings:

Gloria (Dennis) Cartwright; Tom (Cindy) Olsen; and Diane Baldauf

stepchildren:

Jennifer (Steve) Haworth and Tim (Marilyn) Grant;

Step-grandchildren:

Marcus (Jocelyn Gaona) Haworth; Katie Grant; Alex Grant; Elisha (Johnson) Grant;

Step-great-grandchildren:

Cillian, Annabelle, and Zeke Grant.

She was preceded by her husband, Glenn Grant in 2017.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church, 8396 Steeple Hill Rd., Larsen. From 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., brunch will be served at visitation. At noon, a memorial service will be held with Rev. Mark Laatsch officiating.
