GEORGE KROPIDLOWSKI

On November 20, 2019 George David Kropidlowski, age 77, of Menasha passed away. George was the hard-working father of David, Jennifer, and step-son Rick. He was also the husband and companion to Nancy (Sheleski) Kropidlowski for the better part of 4 decades. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1960 and acquired rank of Spec 4 and "expert" rank on the rifle range.  George was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time in the woods and on the water. Hunting deer, reeling in perch and walleye on Lake Winnebago and wading northwoods trout streams is where he felt most at home. He also was a very talented artist spending his free time sketching pin-up girls and the wildlife that he loved so much.

The majority of his career was 32 years working for the Menasha Utilities Water Department where he rose to foreman and played a key role in keeping the city's water system running. He spent many sub-zero nights standing in water up to his waist fixing main breaks so people had running water. In his retirement, he continued to hunt and fish and searched out antiques stores for vintage fishing and sporting goods along with gardening, cooking, canning and making the best sauerkraut this side of Munich.

He is survived by Nancy (Sheleski) Kropidlowski; their son, David Edward Kropidlowski; daughter, Jennifer Sue (Alan) Hart; grandchildren: Aidan John Kropidlowski, Brayden George Rupnick, Evan Alan Hart; sister, Dorothy (Bill) Ryan; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, and step-son, Richard John McHugh
