Obituary
Ethel Maria Weyenberg, 89, passed away on December 26, 2019 at Valley VNA Senior Care, Neenah. She was born in Neenah on June 15, 1930, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Henrietta (Harder) Flenz. Ethel married James “Chrome” Weyenberg on April 25, 1953. They celebrated 62 years together before his death on July 20, 2015.
Ethel worked at Gene's Bake Shop in downtown Neenah. Her greatest enjoyment came from raising her four children. She was an avid Packer fan and of race car driver AJ Foyt. Ethel and Jimmy enjoyed traveling together during their retirement years. Her greatest love came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ethel is survived by her four children; daughter, Susan Weyenberg, NY; three sons: James (Karen), Peter (Cindy) and John (Diane), all of Neenah; nine grandchildren: Becky (Todd) Ellis, Jessie Weyenberg (James Schraufnagel II), Rachel (Ryan) Micale, Maggie (Jason) Nelson, Nicole (Joseph) Brennan, Katie (Luke) Brucks, Hallie (David) Thompson, Dr. Lydia Weyenberg (Andy Orlando) and Will (Natalie) Weyenberg. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1:00PM until 3:00 PM at which time a funeral service will be held, with Deacon Dan Laurent officiating. Entombment will be in private at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
