Obituary

Eloise M. Robinson, age 99, died on Friday January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Eloise was born on May 14, 1926, in Norway, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence J. and Theresa (Canavera) Larson.

In 1944, Eloise graduated from Norway High School and continued her education at St. Francis School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree. Following her graduation, she returned to Norway, where she married her loving husband, James Robinson, on August 28, 1948. Together they moved to Houghton, Michigan where Jim received his Electrical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech.

Through Jim’s work at Kimberly-Clark they lived from coast to coast, from California to Connecticut, before eventually settling in Neenah, Wisconsin. The couple shared 70 wonderful years together and enjoyed traveling extensively throughout Europe.

Eloise worked as a City of Neenah school nurse until her retirement in 1988 due to macular degeneration. She never let it slow her down.

Eloise is survived by 4 loving children: Terese Robinson, Mary (Guy) Carver, Tom (José) Robinson, and Christine (Donnie) Gray; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her former daughter-in-law, Terrie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James, her son, Michael, and her sister, Theresa.

Mom, we miss you and love you for being the best mom ever. You and dad are together again.

Eloise’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Valley VNA Senior Living and ThedaCare Hospice for their loving and wonderful care.

A visitation will be held Thursday February 5, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W Doty Ave, Neenah, WI 54956.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Eloise’s memory to the Valley VNA or ThedaCare Hospice.
