Obituary
Earl W. Luebke was born April 3, 1925 in Neenah and was called to Heaven on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was born the son of the late William and Alinda Luebke. Earl served his country during World War II in the Navy on the USS Birmingham Light Cruiser in the Pacific from 1943 to 1946. He married Evelyn Balke on June 4, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Marion, WI. Earl was employed by Bergstrom Paper Co. for 40 years before retiring in 1987. He was an avid roller skater, bowler, golfer, wood carver, who cained many chairs, and was a great handy-man. In 2011, Earl was proud to participate in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. with other veterans of WWII.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 73 wonderful years of marriage Evelyn Luebke; sons, Bill (Dawn) Luebke and Ben (Maria) Luebke; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; his sister Waida Felker; brothers-in-law: Roy (Betty) Balke; Don (Barbara) Balke; Eugene (Elaine) Balke; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his brother William Luebke, parents-in-law Ben and Pearl Balke, brothers-in-law Ronald and Benjie Balke, and John Felker, along with sisters-in-law Loraine, Mary, Betty, and Germaine.
The funeral service for Earl will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 118 Oak Street, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Earl will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Immanuel UCC are appreciated.
