Betty Warning

Betty Warning passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 94. She was born on July 10, 1931, daughter of the late Lloyd and Norma Nickel.

 Betty was baptized on January 16, 1932, in West Bend, WI, and confirmed on August 6, 1950, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Hortonville. She graduated from Hortonville High School with the class of 1949.

 On August 19, 1950, she married Harold Warning at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Hortonville, and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage before Harold passed away in 2020. Betty and Harold worked for Motel 6 for 12 years as managers and then retired at Pickerel Lake in 1989. They both loved spring pike fishing on the Wolf River, and wintered for many years in Apache Junction, Arizona. In February of 2022, Betty moved into Assisted Living at Island Shores in Neenah. She was there until August of 2025, when she moved to Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Appleton, because of her health.

 Harold and Betty were previous members at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Neenah, and a year and a half later Betty joined Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah. Her faith in her Savior was evident in everything she did. Betty loved her Lord and Savior and was looking forward to her home in heaven. She now rests in the arms of Jesus.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda (Randy) Radtke; sons: Richard (Brenda) Warning, Keith (Julie) Warning and Gregg (Vicky) Warning; grandchildren: Sheri Emery, Lisa (Wil) Krautkramer, Aaron (Michelle) Warning, Jessica (Bryan) Chrzastowski, Amy (Anthony) Fluto, Brad (Melissa) Warning, Kevin (Autumn) Warning and Rachel Warning; great-grandchildren: Bailey and Hannah  Emery, Landon and Lincoln Kraukramer, Christina, Stephanie and David (Cheyenne) Currie, Jacob Chrzastowski, Chance and Boyd Warning and Grace Warning; as well as great-great-grandchildren: Penny, Anders, Benjamin “Bo”, Rhett and Ryla Currie.

 Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Don Nickel; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ben Gaigg.

The Memorial Service for Betty will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Martin Luther Church, 436 S. Lake Street, Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be held at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Wabeno, WI. In lieu of flowes a memorial will be established for Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

Thank you to all the Pastors from Martin Luther in Neenah, and Trinity Lutheran, Neenah, that ministered to Mom and especially Pastor Tony McKenzie, from Trinity, for his visits to her the last few months, and the whole Trinity family.
