CARRIE OWENS

Carrie Lynn Owens, age 40 of Neenah, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020. She was born Carrie Danielczak on January 21, 1980 to Mary Ratliff and was married to Michael Owens.

Carrie was a woman of immense compassion, kindness, and love. When growing up she told her mother her one goal of being a mother and a wife. Not only did she achieve her goal, she went above and beyond in both. With 3 kids at the time, she made her way through school and also achieved her dream of becoming a nurse. Again, caring for others, loving others, and healing those in pain. Carrie always had the brightest smile in the room and a heart that warmed everyone she met. Even during her suffering, she knew there was hope. Hope of a brighter day, hope of a new tomorrow, hope of her ultimate goal, to be the best mother she could be. Selfless even at her lowest times, she would make you feel at home, whether you were friend, family, or a stranger. Carrie was a fighter, and her battle inspired all of those around her. Her inspiration and spirit will always follow those who she loved and those who loved her.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Michael; and their three children: Malik; Dre; and Janae; as well as by her mother, Mary (Ron) Zalewski; her step-father, Bob Bavinck; and by her brother, Eric (Wendy) Danielczak. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles: Arlie (Laurie) Ratliff; David (Annie) Ratliff; Richard Ratliff; Kathy (Randy) Bennett; Sheila (Robert) Pezewski; Ruthann (Ron) Kabale; and Debbie Ratliff; and by her close cousin, Justine Balistreri; as well as many other cousins; and by Michael's aunt and cousins: Teresa Owens, Virginia and Christiana. She was preceded in death by many loved ones.

A memorial gathering for Carrie will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Carrie's name.
