Obituary
Doris M. Flauger, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. She was born on February 11, 1933 to the late Joseph and Sinthy Grillheisel. Doris worked at Eggers Industries for many years until her retirement. She married Lloyd Remter on December 29, 1951, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage before he passed away in 1974. Doris was fortunate to meet Louis Flauger, and they were married on April 30, 1987. They treasured the 32 years together before Louis passed away earlier this year. Doris enjoyed gardening, watching birds, canning food, reading, and playing cards, especially Maneuver.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Wolfinger and Karla (Mark Brandt) Thede; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Seager; grandchildren: Dr. Megan (Dr. Jason Krahenbuhl) Wolfinger, Nicole (fiance Kollin Hemenway) Wolfinger, Derek (Sara) Thede, Dillon (fiancée Liz) Thede, and Sarah Seager; sister, Arlene “Weiner” Walbrun; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Hailey, Layla, Norah, Owen, Levi, and Harley; along with many other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lloyd Remter and Louis Flauger; son, Joe Remter; brother-in-law, Richard Walbrun; as well as other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life for Doris will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road, Menasha.
