Obituary
Gloria Ann Root, age 79 of Menasha, passed away early Monday, June 06, 2016. She was born on June 24, 1936 to the late Frelan and Mae (Mills) Van Horn.
Gloria was a member of Living Vine Community Church in Neenah, and had very strong feelings about her faith, the Bible, and fellow Christians. She loved God, and she loved her family. After raising her children, Gloria enjoyed trucking with her husband Vern, whom she married on November 24, 1973. She also worked in the moving field and the VNA and now belongs to FCARC-Ham under the silent key N9SVB.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 42 years, Vern; her children: Linda (Herb) Giebisch; Cindy (Rob) Shaw; Tammy Spierings; Mark Seager; Dick Root; Daniel Root; Ann Root; Mark (Kerry) Root; Vicky Root; and Pam Root; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is further survived by her sisters, Manolia Law; Ethel Foat; Barb (Bill) Wagner; and sisters-in-law, Ardie Hopf and Loraine Bucklew.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Seager; granddaughter Jennifer Ales; and brothers-in-law, Emert Root and Chet Foat.
A funeral service for Gloria will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be held in Resthaven Cemetery.
