ESTHER CISKE

Esther A. Ciske, age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Matthews Senior Living of Appleton. She was born on August 23, 1921 in Neenah, daughter of the late Ernst and Caroline (Pluger) Kiltzke. On June 30, 1962 she married Ralph J. Ciske at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha. Esther was an awesome cook, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and the Green Bay Packers. Above all, she loved time spent with her beloved family. She will be sadly missed by her step-children: Sharon (Jim) Martin, Appleton, Joseph R. (Barbara) Ciske, Menasha, Tom (Mary) Ciske, Darboy; 4 grandchildren: Paul Martin, Appleton, Valarie (Dale) Lagerman, Appleton, Dan (Sp. Friend Jana) Koester, Wauwatosa, Mark (Molly) Koester, Evanston, IL; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Barbara Koester; son-in-law, Jerry Koester; sister, Bernice (Wilbert) DeWitt; brothers: Robert, Donald, and Carl Klitzke. The Funeral Service for Esther will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church (473 7th Street, Menasha) with Rev. David Skarsten officiating. Friends will be received directly at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
