DONNA SCHULTZ

Donna M. Schultz, age 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 20, 2020.  She was born November 19, 1948 in Westfield, WI, daughter of the late Gordon and Carol (Zuhlke) Sonnenberg. 

Donna attended school in Westfield, graduating from Westfield High School in 1966.  She later moved to Menasha and began working for the Twin City Clinic.  Donna remained with the clinic through transitions from Twin City, to Nicolet, LaSalle, and finally Affinity.  She attended Fox Valley Technical College earning an Associate's Degree in Supervisory Management.  Donna retired in 2012 after more than 40 years with Affinity. 

Donna married Jon Schultz on June 9, 1978 at St. Mary's in Menasha and they were blessed with over 42 years of marriage.  She enjoyed many hobbies, including camping, golfing, playing cards, sewing and quilting, and doing puzzles.  She was also a great cook, most known for her famous lasagna and “pink tacos.” Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren and was teaching Addison how to sew.  Donna was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jon Schultz; her son, Jason (Christine) Schultz; two grandchildren: Addison (age 8) and Atley (age 4); a sister, Judy Wachholz; and a brother, Gary (Beth) Sonnenberg.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick Sonnenberg.

The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating.  The visitation will be held on Monday at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Ascension Hospice for the compassionate care given to Donna.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name for Ascension Hospice.
