CLIFFORD HANNON
March 15, 1927 - January 29, 2021
Obituary
Clifford U. Hannon of De Pere, passed away peacefully at the age of 93, late Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born March 15, 1927 to the late Frank and Mary Hannon in Green Bay and resided in the De Pere area most of his life. On June 30, 1951, he married the love of his life, Florence Allcox. Together they had six children who gave them many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
One of Cliff's favorite things in life was spending time with his grandkids and the rest of his family. He also liked traveling and being outside. He spent many hours on his porch swing, taking walks, and chatting with his neighbors. He was also a music lover, having taught himself how to play the drums, guitar and harmonica, often joining his son Joe's band at gigs. He was also very handy with tinkering in the yard and building cottages, but his most recognized job was as the “family supervisor,” telling people what to do, even up to the very end. He will be remembered as a most generous man with a big heart who enjoyed donating to causes he felt worthy.
Cliff is survived by his children: Terri (Don) O'Keefe; Jon (Mariellen) Hannon; and Mary Kay (Scott) Brosteau; by his grandchildren: Tyler, Casey, Jamie, Ann, David, Dan, Heather, Sarah, Cliff, Alex, Ashley, Laura, Tori, Kari, Mitch, and Kirstyn, and their families. He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Florence in 2002; by his children: Debbie Albers, Joe Hannon, and Pete Hannon; by his brothers: Robby, Dick, Frank, and Buck; and by his sisters: Catherine, Mary Jane, and Shirley.
A private family service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Parish. It will be live streamed of Westgor Funeral Home's Facebook and YouTube pages at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 5, 2021. Cliff will be laid to rest with his family in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, per Cliff's request.
The family would like to thank doctors and staff at St. Vincent Hospital as well as the nurses of Unity Hospice for the care and compassion given to Cliff and his family.
