Obituary
Vida D. (Lopas) Schmidt, age 93, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 of natural causes. She was born on December 30, 1927 to Arthur and Kathryn Lopas in Chilton, WI. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Vida married Paul Schmidt on January 17, 1951, and they were blessed with two sons. She a was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah where she volunteered regularly.
Vida is survived by her sons Steven Schmidt and Scott Schmidt; grandsons Eric (Rebecca) Schmidt and Daniel Schmidt; great-grandchildren Courtney Schmidt, Leanna Schmidt, Tanner Schmidt, Cassandra (Amanda) Manes, and Caitlin (Aaron) Tellock; as well as, great-great-grandchildren Indyca Reinke, Chloe Manes; and Adrian, Trey, and Cyrus Tellock. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
