Obituary
Neenah - Pat Bodway, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, May, 9th, 2023. She was born in Appleton on December 26, 1932. Pat attended St. John's Elementary in Menasha and Neenah High School – graduating in 1950.
She was employed at Marathon Company in Menasha for secretarial work. Pat subsequently met and then married the love of her life, Ken Bodway on August 28, 1952 at St. Patrick's Church in Neenah, WI. They celebrated 65 years of marriage and were blessed with four daughters. After marriage, Pat worked for Zaug's Vending and other part-time jobs.
Pat and Ken lived in Appleton all their lives. Pat's most important job was being a wife and mother. They enjoyed being with family, fishing, and playing golf.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Florence (Wingrove) Getschow, her husband Ken, her sister and brother-in-law Joan and Tony Marold, and grandson Jon Kosiorek.
She is survived by her brother, Richard (Mary “Cammy”) Getschow, four daughters; Kathy (Dan) Haase, Sue (Joseph) Kosiorek, Kelly (Fred) Kiewatt, and Jennifer (Ash) Bauer. Grandchildren: Joseph (Beth) Kosiorek, Megan (Zach) Kollmansberger, Melissa (Jackson) Williams; Michael (Lisa) Kiewatt, Kasey (Luke) Hylbak, Kevin (Molly) Kiewatt, Lauren Bauer (fiancée Joel Stanley), and Matthew Bauer. Great Grandchildren: Addisyn Kosiorek, Reese and Caleb Kollmansberger, Ava Hylbak, and Eleanor Kiewatt. She was also survived by many special nieces and nephews: Katie, Rick, Tim, Mary, Holly, Tony, and Jody.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
