CYNTHIA DENNIS

Cynthia J. “Cindy” Dennis, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Friday, April 2, 2021.  She was born June 10, 1951 in Neenah, daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude (Miller) Van Linn. 

Cindy married John Dennis on August 3, 1968.  She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law.  Cindy loved butterflies, planting flowers in her yard and finding goodies at the thrift store.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John; her daughter, Wendy (Brent) Ely; sisters: Barb (Ned) Moore, Cheryl Sturgis; her brother, Pete Van Linn; mother-in-law, Ethel Dennis; many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. Many furry grandbabies. She is further survived by her friend, Linda Van Linn; a special nephew, Kurry Van Linn and family; a goddaughter, Autumn Van Linn and special friends, Carl and Marilyn Hass and Eric Custer and Amy Stanford.

Cindy was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Dennis; father-in-law, George Dennis; brother, Wayne Van Linn; two nephews: Daniel “Bo” Van Linn, Justin Sturgis; two sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen Dennis, Tammy Dennis; and a brother-in-law, Matt Schubert.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating.  The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the hour of service.  Burial will be in Pine River Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
