WENDELIN SIGRIST

Wendelin J. “Buz” Sigrist, age 79, was brought home to the Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Born on May 4, 1941 to the late Wendelin and Mary Sigrist, Wendelin spent most of his life in Ohio. A 1960 graduate of Aquinas High School in Columbus, OH, Wendelin was a US Navy reservist and a barber (Grandview). He enjoyed 47 years of marriage to Debbie Wood. In 2017 Wendelin moved to Appleton, Wisconsin to be closer to his youngest daughter. He was very proud of his Ohio roots and remained an avid Ohio State football fan. Also deeply religious, Wendelin attended both St. Joseph and St. Mary Catholic Churches in Appleton.

Wendelin is survived by his wife Debbie Sigrist; children Beth (Tom) Zabawski, Joelle (Scott) Regner, and Amanda (Matthew) Daniels; his siblings Jon (Janet) McCleery, Marty Gartner, and Charles (Kathy) Sigrist; as well as numerous grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral mass will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213. Wendelin will be laid to rest at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
