MARIE SANVIDGE

Marie Lorraine Sanvidge, 98, passed away Sunday January 9, 2022, at Peabody Manor. She was born November 10, 1923, in Oshkosh, daughter of the late, Frank and Catherine (Stockinger) Baier.

Marie worked at American Can, Menasha, for 31 years. She was the first woman to  be appointed as Quality Control Tester. After her retirement, Marie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was an avid reader (over one thousand books). Marie spent many hours, browsing at the library. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. She loved watching the Packers. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family.

Marie is survived by her two daughters: Carol (Paul) Reich, and Kathy (Howard) Lee;  six grandchildren: Lisa (Mark) Boardman, Daniel (Janet) Reichard, Ryan ((Erik) Reichard, Christine (Tim) Arent, Brian (Sarah) Lee, Erika (Chad) Moderson; two step-granddaughters: Elizabeth and Catherine Reich; 16 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Brooke, and Anna (special friend, Austin Gauthier) Boardman, Courtney Roberts, Quentin Reichard, Sam, Andrew, Ben, and Julia Arendt, Mikarah, Olivia, and Alora Lee, and Alexis, Jonathan, Emily, and Matthew Moderson ; She is further survived by her great-great-grandson, Nathanial Gauthier; niece, Bunnie Lenz, and nephew, David Swenson.  Marie was further preceded in death by two sons: John and Thomas Sanvidge; grandson, John Sanvidge; two sisters and brothers in-law: Dorothy (Greg) Sitter, and Phyllis (Richard) Swenson; brother and sister in-law, Clarence (Ruth) Baier; niece, Shirley Kluge; and nephew, Ron Swenson.

A private family service will be held.
