Dorothy "Dotty" Lind

Dotty, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on August 22, 2026, surrounded by love. Being able to remain in her home was one of her final wishes.

Born August 9, 1932, in Rushford, Wisconsin, to Hubert and Ruth Roberts. Dotty grew up on the family farm, where she learned the value of hard work. She married Erlin “Snooks” Lind on October 1, 1955, and together they built a life centered around family, faith, and love.

Dotty became a dedicated registered nurse, caring for others throughout her career, including at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1963, she and Snooks returned to Wisconsin, where she embraced one of her greatest callings, being a mother. After adopting four children, she devoted herself to raising her family and creating a loving home. She also enjoyed serving her community through the Double Portion Soup Kitchen and AWANA Youth Club at Calvary Bible Church.

Faith was at the heart of Dotty’s life. She was blessed to fulfill a lifelong dream by taking a mission trip to Zimbabwe and later traveled to Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan River.

Dotty will be lovingly remembered by her children, Katie Lind, Jeff (Kathy) Lind, Karen Lind, and Eric (Pam) Lind; grandchildren Derek (Danielle), Kendra, Adam, Kevin, and Riley; and great-grandchildren Jaeda and Abram.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erlin; her parents, Hubert and Ruth Roberts; her brother, Lee (Joyce) Roberts; and her in-laws, Florence and Norman Lind, Gene and Wink Lind, and Vick and Sylvia Lind.

Dotty’s greatest legacy was the love she gave to her family and others. Her life was one of service, faith, devotion, adventure, and love. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the entire Compassus team for the loving care shown to Mom, especially nurses Amanda and Sandy, as well as Chaplain Eric for the comfort and companionship they gave her. We will always be grateful for the peace and kindness they brought to Mom and our family.

A funeral service will be held Friday September 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oak Ridge Road, Neenah, WI 54956. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
