RICHARD BRUCKS

Richard E. Brucks “Dick” 72, Menasha, passed away from complications due to cancer.

Born April 30, 1949 in Neenah to Edwin and Mildred (Micky Kramer) Brucks. Dick grew up in Appleton, graduating from Appleton West, 1968. He married Sheila Butler and moved to Fox Crossing. They raised three sons, Jake, Nick and Luke (Katie). Dick was very proud of his two grandsons, Willy and Jack.

Dick is further survived by his sister, Joan (John) Manier Sun City, AZ, brother Dennis (Sandra), brothers and sisters in law, Bill and Sharon Butler, Tom and Ramona Bartman, Ellen and Dave Helms along with numerous nieces and nephews, supportive friends, Steve and Carol Howard, and many others, especially those who made his last years full.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by in-laws, Tom and Ramona Butler, sister-in- law Maureen Waala, brother in-law and good friend, Bob Weber.

Dick held many jobs in the Fox Valley and eventually retired from the Operations Dept. with the Neenah Joint School District. He shared his love for nature, hunting and fishing with his family, especially at Brucks' Cabin in Tigerton. Dick and Sheila enjoyed trips across the country on their Harley. Dick was a past member of Appleton Rifle and Pistol Club, HOG, Freedom Vans, and Appleton Jaycees. In recent years he spent time watching his sons and grandsons race dirt bikes and family gatherings at the cabin. When the lilacs bloom the white bass are running. Enjoy!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM.  The visitation will be held from 4:00 Pm until the hour of service.  A memorial has been established for The Brigade, Neenah and Heckrodt Nature Center, Menasha.
