JOHN LEHL

John B. Lehl, age 96 of Neenah, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. He was born May 5, 1917 to the late Henry and Katherine (Freuhauf) Lehl in Havelock, Nebraska. On October 29, 1938, he married Laura Woyak, who preceded him in death on September 16, 2005. John had an unbelievable love for his wife. After her death, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren became his life. He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah and retiree of Neenah Foundry after over 40 years. John is survived by his children: William J. Lehl, Santa Rosa, CA; John A. (Rita) Lehl, Oshkosh; Diana M. (Gary) Paulsen, Wautoma; George K. Lehl, Oshkosh; his grandchildren: Laura (Dan) Wipperman; Jeff Zachow; Annette Hablewitz; Becky Konitzer; John (Tiffanie) Zachow; Gina Lehl; Leslie F. Lehl; Paula Lehl; Scott (Cheryl) Lehl; Mark (Elizabeth) Lehl; Sarah (Christopher) Sina; Tyler (Nickie) Paulsen; Gina (Patrick) Buechel; Theresa (Jerry) Eid; Jennifer (Will) Carstens; George K. (Jennifer) Lehl, Jr. He is further survived by 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Molly Klemm and brother Ernest (Bev) Lehl; his sisters-in-law, Irene Cain and Alice (Bob) Erdmann; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. For a listing of his surviving friends, please refer to your entire phone book. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice A Kaufman; daughter-in-law, Ida P. Kerkhof; grand-daughter, Kim Zachow; and siblings: Marie Ellis; Frieda Schieder; Henry Lehl, Jr.; and Katherine Strutz. The funeral service for John will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, August 26, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 900 Geiger St., Neenah, Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Johns name.
