Obituary
Judith J. Murphy, age 79, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Judy was born on July 25, 1941, daughter of the late Clarence and Valgene Olson. She had a passion for teaching and was a longtime history teacher at Neenah High School. Judy married Frank Murphy and treasured countless memories together, especially when they were on one of their many trips with their family. She was a wonderful role model to her family and was a humble, hardworking, and organized person. Judy always had a sharp mind and enjoyed following the news and current events. She was also very passionate about her interests, especially when her favorite sports teams were playing. Judy was a kind and generous soul that will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter Wendy (Randall) Walker; step-children: Mary (Don) Bessler, Joanne (Tom) Spice, Sharon (Kevin) Rohde, Sue (Teresa) Murphy, Jeanne (Steve) Coenen, Jeff (Lori) Murphy; sister, Marjorie (Robert) Klessig; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Murphy; and siblings: Clarice Rech and Duane Olson.
The funeral service for Judy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial Street, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Judy will be laid to rest at Port Wing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
