Obituary
Mary Lou Rae (Jones) passed away peacefully on July 18, 2021 at ThedaCare Appleton in Hospice care. Mary Lou will be remembered for her beautiful smile, compassion for others, her generosity, genuine love for others and her humor.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jo Rae; son, David Rae (Jenny); four grandchildren: Alexandria Rae, Amanda Massey, Tony Massey (Allie Baudek), and Allie (Jon) Adkins; and great-grandchildren: Tobias and Grayson Adkins. She is further survived by her beloved cat, Charlie; brother, William Kallenbach; and numerous nephews and nieces, with a special relationship with her nephew, James Kallenbach Jr. (Kathy).
She was very proud retiree of Fox Valley Technical College where she made many lifelong friends including but not limited to Nancy Kortz, Nancy Smith, Nancy Buboltz and Rachel Aldrich .
The family would like to thank all the wonderful care team during her short fight with Colon Cancer: Rebecca Philpot, APNP; Aubrey, RN ThedaCare at Home; The Island Shores Care Team; ThedaCare Cancer center: Dr. Starr, Kristen Brockdorf, PA-C, Paige, RN, and Quentin; ThedaCare 8th floor team (too numerous to name) with a special shout-out to Cara, RN; Mandy RN; Mike RN; Mariah RN; Kensley RN; and Dr. Marquis.
Special thank you to Rachel Aldrich for her loving care and help during the last month. She was a blessing!
Following Mary Lou's wishes, no funeral will be held. For all those who knew her, please share stories and fond memories with each other and have a celebratory margarita (blended)!
