JACK RENNER

Jack Elmer Renner, 96, died Thursday July 22, 2021, at The Heritage. He was born September 14, 1924, in Neenah, son of the late Elmer and Cassie (Neff) Renner. Jack married Lillian Meltz on August 7, 1948. They celebrated 70 years together before Lillian preceded Jack in death on December 4, 2018.

Jack was employed by Northwestern Colorgraphics, Menasha for 39 years, retiring in 1985. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church, Neenah, along with serving as a Sunday school teacher and Deacon. Jack volunteered his time and talent as a leader of the Boy's Brigade, Habitat for Humanity, and Housing Partnership. Jack and Lillian lived on Lake Winnebago for over 65 years, where he loved being a sailor, woodworker, and gardener.

Jack is survived by his three children: daughter, Jane (Jay) Shipman, Oshkosh; two sons: Jack G. (Barbara), Neenah, and James (Sally), Cambria; three grandchildren: Jackson (Jori) Renner, John (Emily) Shipman, and Ashley (Domagoj) Shipman Papac; four great-grandsons: Henry Shipman, Leo Shipman, Borna Papac, and Maximilian Papac; many nieces and nephews; and his life-long friend, Raymond Smith.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Renner; and a son-in-law, Jay Shipman.

A memorial service for Jack will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church St. Neenah, with Rev. Kim Johnson and Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. A light lunch will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may by given to the Neenah Humane Society, Macular Degeneration Research – Bright Focus Foundation or the charity of your choice.
