Obituary
Thomas David Kuehl, 75, of Sun City Arizona, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 8th, 2021. Tom was born on July 12th, 1945 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Frank Sr. and Anna Kuehl. In his early 20's, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served his nation during two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Green Beret in the Army's special forces unit. After returning from war, Tom tried his hand at a number of jobs including, coal mining and truck driving, but he was most successful where his passion was, dogs. Tom helped manage a kennel and trained police K-9's for many years. Tom had a special place in his heart for dogs and will be very happy to be reunited with his favorites, Griz, G.B. and C.D.
Tom leaves behind his wife Brenna; sister Florice; three daughters: Lisa, Kassie (Mark) and Megan (Jake); 10 grandchildren: Abigail, Brennan, Cody, Devin, Eleanor, Ellie, Malorie, Rosalie, Samantha, and Weston; as well as many other family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Frank Sr. and Anna; three sisters: Stella, Nadine, and Laurie; and his brother Frank Jr., as well as an infant daughter, Dawn.
Tom will be remembered most for his sense of humor, pride in serving his country, connection with animals, complete distaste for any green vegetables, and unique approach to life. Although he was born, and spent much of his life in the Fox Valley, he preferred the mountains of Wyoming or the hot desert air of Arizona in his later years. In his free time, he enjoyed perusing his marital arts practice, strength training, dining at supper clubs, volunteering within the animal community, paperback Westerns', Jeopardy, Scrabble, card games, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Right now, as he is getting settled into the after-life, he's likely scouting out the best place to get eggs, bacon and coffee for breakfast and a powdered doughnut for good measure.
A graveside service for Tom will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday August 6th, 2021, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, with full military honors.
