JUDY HANSON

Judy May Hanson, age 71, went home to her heavenly place on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Judy was born on November 27, 1949 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI to the late Mary (O'Neil) Jakubowski and George Harper. Judy grew up across Wisconsin and has lived in different cities; however, her main hometowns were both in Winneconne and Neenah. Judy graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond Du Lac in 1969. In 1976 she worked for Goodwill Industries and then on February 14, 1978 she married Jeffery Hanson and celebrated 43 years of marriage. Judy loved taking care of kids at home after having one miracle premature son in 1985.  She worked most of her career at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA as a teacher for both afterschool and childcare. Judy's favorite things were listening to music, babysitting, camping, playing cards, going to the casino, knitting blankets and being with just her husband and son. 

Judy is survived by her husband Jeffery Hanson, her son Jeff Joseph Hanson, her 2 remaining brothers George Jr. Harper, Neil Harper, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her other brothers Gene and John Harper, David Jakubowski, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. A private family burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established her name.
