MICHAEL GOFFARD

Michael John Goffard, age 53, left us way too soon after an ATV accident on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1968 to Ralph and Helen Goffard and resided in Neenah. Mike worked for 33 years as a Press Operator at TC Transcontinental, formerly Alcan. He married his wife Laurie on August 19, 2006 and they were blessed with two sons. Mike was a family man at heart who loved being with his wife and children. He treasured the times they spent together at their cottage in Crivitz, especially when they were fishing, boating and trail riding with their atv's. Mike was a hard-working person who enjoyed many home projects, even if he used too many nails to do the job! We always said it was “Miked!” He was a kind-hearted person who took pleasure in helping people out no matter how many hours he worked, listening to Jimmy Buffett music and spending time with family and friends.  His coworkers knew he loved his overtime but always thought of others when he let them have the overtime if they needed it.

He is survived by his wife Laurie Goffard, sons Mitchell and Gregory, parents Ralph and Helen Goffard, siblings Diane (Kurt) Heid, Dan (Kim) Goffard, Carrie (Tom) Poppy, and Mark (Mindy) Goffard, Godson Bryce Poppy, parents-in-law Bill and Gail LuConic, brother-in-law Mike LuConic, parents-in-law Larry and Deb Stai, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The celebration of life for Mike will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.  There will also be a Celebration of Life held at The Dome Sports Bar and Grill, 1338 S. Commercial Street, Neenah from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
