Obituary
Marion E. (Halfmann) Koehn, age 93 of Menasha, passed away September 13, 2021. Marion was born on September 19, 1927 in Stockbridge to Joseph and Mary (Schockmel) Halfmann. She married Gilbert Nickel and worked in food services at Theda Clark Hospital, and later managed the food counter at Kresge's Neenah Fox Point Mall. She and her second husband, Wesley Koehn, lived and worked in Buffalo, NY, until their return to Menasha in 1985.
Marion is survived by her sons, Allen (Jamie) Nickel, Menasha; and Melvin (Sharon) Nickel, Neenah; stepson, Brian (Shirley) Koehn, Rhinelander; grandchildren: Sandy (Jim) Meier; David (Lisa) Nickel; Jason (Holly) Nickel; Kimberley (Andrew) Spaeth; Jeffrey (Jacci) Nickel; Angie Nickel; Kricket (Alex) Tomasoski; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and good friend Jo Brazee.
Besides her parents and spouses, she was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Nona & Gary Koehn; grandson, John Nickel; siblings: Ervin Halfmann; Leona Bishop; Harriet Buss; Lorena Hammer; and Betty Kopitske.
In accordance with Marion's wishes, no formal service will be held.
