Obituary
Phillip (Phil) Martin Kappell, 67, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah, WI after battling cancer. Phil was born in Little Chute on August 13, 1954, son of the late Joseph and Nona (Jury) Kappell. Phil married Roberta Harrison on February 27, 1979.
Phil worked as a metal fabricator in the manufacturing industry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going up north to bow hunt and fish.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Roberta; two sons: Phillip (Carrie) Kappell Jr., and Raymond Kappell; two stepdaughters: Jessie (Todd) Llewellyn, and Diana Resch; 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Anthony, Chantell, Jayden, and Kendall Kappell; Gavin and Erica Llewellyn; Natalya Kientop; Taylor, Olivia, and Jaxson Kappell; and one great-grandson, Grayson Kappell. Phil is further survived by two brothers: John (Linda) Kappell, and Joe Kappell; four sisters: Christine Kappell, Sue (Casey) Last, Kathy (Tim) Laha, and Carol (Jim) Brighum; brother in-law, Harvey Harrison; sister in-law, Diane Kappell ; mother in-law, Gladys Harrison; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Phil was further preceded in death by two brothers: Jim and Bill Kappell.
Memorial service for Phil will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
