Obituary
Richard J. “Dick” Long Jr., age 71, passed away at his home peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born October 1, 1950, son of the late Richard Long Sr. and Delores Bruss. Dick served his country in the US Army.
Dick married Linda Olson on August 7, 1982. He retired from the Neenah Foundry where he worked as a truck driver. Dick was a very loved and respected man, and he had a wonderful, goofy sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; two children: Scott Hoehne, Wendy (Billy) Waubiness; two grandchildren: Nickolas Waubiness and Jade Waubiness; two brothers: Alan (Paula) Long, Brian Long; a brother-in-law, Gary (Linda) Hoehne; sister-in-law, Sharon (Mitchell) Booth; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Coney; and by his stepfather, Gene Bruss
The memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Military Honors will follow with the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Guard. The visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, and again on Friday from Noon until the hour of service.
