JOHN SLOMSKI

In the presence of his children by his side and their love, John Joseph Slomski passed away on November 28, 2021 due to COVID complications coupled with other health issues. John was born September 6, 1958 to Shirley (Hoag) and Alvin Slomski of Menasha. John moved to San Diego in his high school years where he painted for his brother/best friend, Mark and developed his passion for the San Diego Chargers and Padres. 

Years later John returned to Wisconsin and worked for Bergstrom Paper. He loved bowling, playing softball, painting houses, and driving us crazy with his trivia questions. John loved his oldies music from the likes of Frankie Laine, Gary Puckett, but Elvis WAS king. John had a great singing voice and could play air instruments like none other. He has left this earth for a better place where his soul is at peace and his struggles are laid to rest. We will hold dear the precious memories we have.

John is survived by  children, whom he was very proud of. He affectionately called them his “3 Amigos,” Holly (Spencer) Cook, Justin (Jennifer) Slomski, and Emily Slomski; mother Shirley Slomski; grandchildren Braydon, Easton, Everly, Henry, Lincoln, and Jack; siblings Michael Slomski, Barbara (Jean-Claude) Renoux, Valerie (David) Finch, Randy (Debbie) Slomski, Shelly (Tom) Deltour, and Philip (Denise) Slomski; sister-in-law Dottie Slomski; along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Slomski and brothers Dan, Patrick, and Mark Slomski, and the San Diego Chargers.

The memorial service for John will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W7265 School Road, Grenville. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
