MAVIS CHARRON

Mavis P. Charron, age 92,  passed away early Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born February 4, 1929, to the late Otto and Elizabeth Peterson in Neenah, where she lived all her life.

Mavis will be lovingly remembered by so many people. Over the years she acquired many friends whom she loved being around. She enjoyed talking to anybody and was known for her celebratory phone calls on any given anniversary or birthday. She loved cardinals, working in her yard, and shopping for special deals with a friend. She enjoyed spending time in the library, traveling, and road trips with her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Paula. On every trip, she wanted her “eyeballs to hurt” from seeing all the sights!

Mavis will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her son, Mike (Paula); her nieces and nephews: Gail, Jan, Ralph, Lynn (Griff), Bob, Bruce, Ellen, Peter (Carolyn), Trude, Sarah (John), and “adopted” niece, Donna; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Leo, Wallace “Pete,” Lorraine, and Orville; as well as by a niece, Kathy; and other loved relatives and in-laws. Per Mavis' wishes, a formal service will not be held. Instead, a party to celebrate Mavis' life is being organized for the summer of 2022.

Her family would like to extend a warm thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice as well as Mavis' ThedaCare Oncology team, specifically; Dr. Klinkhammer, Andrea, Brenda, and staff. Thank you for your compassionate support throughout Mavis' illness.
