JAY WEYLAND

Jay Michael Weyland was born to James and Lavonne Weyland on September 10, 1966 in Neenah, Wisconsin. He grew up with two sisters, and three brothers on a dairy farm. He was a wonderful and loving husband to his wife Mary of 21 years, and a devoted father to his daughter Cassandra (14), and son James (17).

Jay graduated from Neenah High School. He worked at Wolfrath's Nursery and Landscaping in Hortonville for 24 years. Jay was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted man who enjoyed spending time with his wife and children and spending time outdoors. He was very passionate about landscaping and nature, as it brought him great pleasure to tend to his own garden and trees and share that passion with his friends and family. If you were lucky enough to have Jay stop by, you could be sure that you'd end up outside with him for hours on end talking about trees as he would teach you everything that you could ever need to know.

 In his spare time, he also enjoyed caring for his cats Kit-Kat and Tubby, playing Solitaire, listening to music, attending church and visiting places like the Shedd Aquarium with his family. Growing up, Jay loved going to the Boys' and Girls' Brigade and getting involved with the fun activities and events they would put on.

Jay sadly passed away too soon on January 13, 2022 at the age of 55 just six days after his younger brother, Corey. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Cassandra, son James, brother, David (Lori); two sisters: Vicky (Rusty Morey) Weyland, and Debbie Foth; eight nieces: Sarah, Melissa, Kimberly (Chris) Bates, Andria, Brianna (Tom) Carter, MaKenzie, Candice and Jodie; his two nephews: David Jr., and Bradley (fiancée' Christina Basken). He was preceded in death by his father James; mother Lavonne; brothers Kelsey and Corey.

            The visitation for Jay will take place on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 11:00 -1:00 p.m., followed by the service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3703 Fairview Road, Neenah, WI 54956. Out of concern for everyone's safety, masks will be required inside the church and social distancing will be enforced.
