KATHRYN JOHNSON

November 01, 1944 - October 11, 2024

Obituary

Kathryn Lou Johnson (Kathy) passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, under the kind and tender care of the staff at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha WI.

Kathy was born in Neenah on November 1, 1944, daughter of Walter and Olga (Mankiewicz) Williams.  She married her high school sweetheart Bill on February 8, 1964 and together they raised 3 children and enjoyed 54 years of marriage, before Bill's passing in 2021.

Kathy's greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends.  She was the life of every party, and her smile and laughter lit up the room, wherever she went.  She cherished her kids, adored her grandchild, and she was most happy when she had her family all together, laughing and sharing stories.

Kathy leaves behind her daughter Suzanne (Todd) Wagner, grandchild Kaitlyn Wagner, son Steven (Julia),  brother John Williams, and niece and nephew, Tiffany Williams and Brett Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Johnson, her beloved daughter Shelly (Scott) Dunsirn, and her parents.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Prairie Home Assisted Living and the team of Hospice caregivers that provided excellent care and treated mom with love, respect and dignity.

There was a time when I was free

To live my life in harmony,

Before the illness, which blighted me,

Swept faces and places from my mind,

People I loved from memory.

Remember me as I used to be.

Think of me; remember my smile,

The love we shared; linger awhile.

I am at peace now, I am me.

All rest for all eternity.

Sue & Steve, Your mom is in heaven with your dad and Shelly being her awesome self again. Gary & I had so many old fashions with your parents at our homes and out for dinner. When my mom would see your mom out shopping my mom would call me and tell me that she had run into the pretty white haired lady. Kathy is a friend that you could never forget. I loved her dearly. Prayers & hugs Peggy

I worked with Bill for many years and knew Bill and Kathy well. They lived across the street from my parents and were the best neighbors. Our shop (work) party's would not have been the same without Bill and Kathy. Truly will be missed.

Kathy and Bill started dating in 8th grade when I first met them. They were such a happy couple. Kathy was a joy to be around and now they will be together again.
