Obituary
Marvin Charles Pues, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2022. The longtime Neenah resident was 92.
Born July 5, 1929, to Chester Peter and Minnie (Rief) Pues, of Navarino, Marv was one of seven children and an avid outdoorsman and athlete. He was inducted into the Navarino Rangers Hall of Fame after playing 29 seasons for the hometown talent team, was a longtime girls basketball coach at Trinity Lutheran School, Neenah and loved watching his grandsons play ball. He was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah.
Affectionately known as Mony by many, Marv is survived by his wife of 57 years Ellen (Schultz); daughters Patti (JR) Ross and Amy (John) Guy; son-in-law Sam Demmin; as well as his grandsons Brad (Aimee) and Ryan (fiancée, Hailee) Demmin; and J.J. and Ben Ross; his brother Arlyn Pues; his sister-in-law Janet Van Oudenhoven, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Demmin; his parents; in-laws Edward and Mae Schultz; sisters Edith (Ed) Tremmel and Edna (Jim) Dingledine; brothers Virgil (Beatrice) Pues, Wendell (Rachel) Pues, Harvey (Marge) Pues; in-laws Nancy Pues and Herb Van Oudenhoven.
A Memorial Service for Marv will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
Per the family's request, masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah or Neenah Lutheran School Athletic Fund.
