Obituary
Steven M Manteufel (Fred) passed away on Monday, January 24th, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. Even through the early stages he fought hard to beat this cancer and never stopped fighting till the end.
Steve was born on April 30th, 1962. He was born and raised in Neenah and attended Neenah High School, where he enjoyed playing baseball. Shortly after graduating from High School, he met his wife, Nancy Nollenberg. On January 8th, 2022, they celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary. They had three children, Scott (Jill) Manteufel, Craig (Fiancé Bridgette) Manteufel, and Amanda (Mike) Rose. They have 9 Grandchildren, Payton, Kristin, Lily, Hunter, Macy, Dylan, Logan, Dakota and Luke. He was a very passionate man and cared deeply for his family. There weren't too many places he would go where you wouldn't hear someone call out his name. He was dearly loved by his family and well respected with everyone he ran into.
Steve enjoyed being outdoors whether it was being in a boat fishing with his brothers or his boys, in the woods hunting, on the ice, fishing or spearing or just hanging out with family and friends. There weren't too many times if he were out fishing or hunting you wouldn't see him with his brothers. Turkey hunting was his passion and to anyone that knew Steve you would certainly agree. He was never a guy to sit still no matter what he did. He was always experimenting with cooking, smoking and making jerky and no matter what he was making somehow came out delicious every time. A special thank you to Pat Gambsky for taking the time and helping Steve get his last deer this year gun hunting!
In addition to his kids, he is survived by his loving Wife, Nancy Manteufel; his loving Father and Mother, Duwayne and Geri Manteufel; siblings: Randy (Holly) Manteufel, Debbie (Lorenzo) De La Cruz, and Mike (Tena) Manteufel; along with many in laws, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
He was proceeded into death by his Father and Mother-in-law, Carl and Betty Nollenberg, and a Grandson, Gavin Rose.
A memorial service for Steve will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Eternal Love Church, 1011 Midway Rd., Appleton. A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and again at church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
