GARY WTA

Gary “Curly” Wiita, Neenah, WI. age 81, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022. He was born December 26, 1940, in Duluth, MN. He grew up in Brookston, MN, graduating from Brookston High School in 1958.
Curly was in the Air Force stationed in Texas. He was employed in various sales positions, ending his career with Lakehead Sign in Superior, WI.

Curly is survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons: Gary (Sharon), McKinney, TX, Wade (Deb), Saginaw, MN, Vince, Hawley, MN; grandchildren: Hannah, Sarah (Heather), Halle (Jon), Mille, Craig (Corine), William, Michael (Cindy), Marvin (Ashley), Samantha (Josh), Jacob; and several great-grandchildren. Gary is further survived by his sister, Jean (Gene) Parise; 3 brothers: Bill (Barb), Michael (Sandy) and Tom (Connie) Kirkwood, brothers-in-laws John (Josephine) and Jim Thiel, sisters-in-law Nancy Armstrong, Betty Deiss, and Connie Sauer., plus several nieces and nephews.

Curly was preceded in death by his mother, Aune Hill; step-father, Walfred Hill; his father, Frank Kirkwood; two brothers: Joe Kirkwood and Larry Kirkwood; a sister, Regina Baisden; In-laws William and Sylvia Thiel; brothers-in-law: Bruce Armstrong, Roy Deiss and Jerry Sauer.

Curly was very proud of learning how to live one day at a time. His life was touched and enriched by his many Friends of Bill W.

A Memorial Service will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home at 12:00PM, on Friday, March 18, 2022. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Arrowhead Township Cemetery in Brookston, MN this spring.
