DORIS HANDLER

Doris Mae Handler, age 93, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 5, 1930, to the late Ernest and Mae Schimmelpfennig and resided in Neenah. She married Raymond Handler on September 16, 1950, and they were blessed with two children. Doris always had a strong faith and was an active member at her church. She loved working on crafts, and she took great joy making desserts and candy, especially around Christmas. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  

Doris is survived by her son Robin Handler, daughter Julie (Bruce) Wallace, grandson Raymond Wallace, sister Ruth Ziegler, brother Marvin Schimmelpfenning, and sister-in-law Betty Jack. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Handler along with her brothers Norman Schimmelpfennig and Earl Schimmelpfenning.

A private funeral will be held. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.
