Obituary
Maria DeJesus Quinonez, age 65, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah. She was born September 24, 1956, in Durango, Mexico, daughter of Jesus and Maria De Los Angeles Quinonez.
Maria worked as a teachers aide in an Elementary School in Durango Mexico. Her family then moved to California in the 1980's where she worked as a seamstress. Maria moved to the Neenah area in 1992. She married Hector Hernandez on April 7, 1995.
Maria loved to cook, bake and feed those around her. Everyone raved about her tamales! She had a kind soul and loved everyone. Maria's family dearly loved her, and she enjoyed family get-togethers. Maria was a pillar for the family.
Survivors include her husband, Hector; three children: Mario Luna Quinonez, Monica (Brent) Wittman, Adrian Hernandez; three grandchildren: Damian, Eli and Lincoln; her mother, Maria De Les Angeles Batrez; a sister, Maria Isabel (Pedro) Parra; and two brothers: Vidal Quinonez, Eduardo (Miriam) Quinonez.
Maria was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Florentino Quinonez.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2, 2022 with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. The visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
