Obituary
Leonard M. Trams, ”Limo Lenny”, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, with family at his side. He was born April 23, 1957 in England, son of the late Curtis and Patricia (Hoy) Trams.
Lenny graduated from Neenah High School in 1976, where he was a proud member of the Swing Choir, that in later years would be known as Vintage.
Lenny had many employment opportunities during his lifetime. Some of his more prominent included the Neenah Foundry, Father and Sons Shoe Store, Gunderson Cleaners, co-owner and operator of L & S Classic Limousine, and Jimmy John's.
Lenny's time as a limousine driver earned him the nickname “Limo Lenny”. He was very proud of the work he did and the people he drove. He always had a story about the many Green Bay Packers, sports broadcasters, and celebrities he had in his limo.
In 1994 Leonard was awarded a Citizens Service Award for rescuing a young man he found in an overturned, submerged vehicle. In his spare time Lenny enjoyed bowling, fishing and all things Harley Davidson.
God continued to pursue Lenny through his life, and in later years he became a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, which he attended periodically. Over the past several months Lenny's faith grew and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Being in the Lord's house then became an important part of his week. Heaven is rejoicing, a lost sheep has been found and brought into Glory!
Survivors include his daughter, Angela (Brett) Cartwright; daughter-in-law, Julie Trams; grandchildren: Matthew, Emma and Allison Cartwright, Elizabeth Trams; God children: Brianna Ashauer, Emily Runnoe; three sisters: Linda (Joe) Ashauer, Corrine (Chris) Thomson, Barbara (Pat) Bergner; aunt, Barbara Allen; and nieces and nephews: Brianna Ashauer, David Trams, Tyler Thompson, Nichole (Josh) Arnoldussen, Travis Nett, Emily (Blake) Runnoe, Amanda Bergner, Patricia Baker, and Steve Trams.
Lenny was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Trams; brother, Duane Trams; and sister-in-law, Dawn Ahrens-Trams.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1850 American Drive, Neenah, with Rev. Jeff Prewitt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Knaus and his staff, ThedaCare hospice and Malinda RN, Holly CNA, and Angela SW for the compassionate care and support they showed Lenny.
Lenny would like to say a special thank you to Pastor Jeff for his faith and guidance in leading him to God.
